RE: Nerd/Geek
Dweeb: Intelligence, social ineptitude
Geek: Intelligence, obsession
Dork: social ineptitude, obsession
Nerd: has all three, intelligence, social ineptitude and obsession.

TBD schooled me on this once.

I have been all 4 before, and more. Big Grin

No, reexamine chart please. Smile That's the one they don't have (I won't say lack, cuz that's still something special. Heart )

Wait, the chart says they aren't socially inept, which means they are social. Am I wrong?

No, you read it correctly. Geeks lack "social ineptitude", which means they are social. I'd say the chart is a reasonable reflection of how I view those words. Being a 'geek' is a badge of honor, whereas none of the other terms are...so geeks must have some social skills.

If the Big Bang Theory TV show is any indication I would say nerds have plenty of social skills.

But as for the OP, I always associated geeks with just computers, and nerds with D&D. Wink

Me too. In my head I have those two switched. Nerds are hipsters and geeks are awkward kinda.

IMO chart should read socially apt, then that would be how I see it.
