And the flip,

How does a weaker assailant attack a stronger person or against multiple persons?

And why does the strawman of "self-defense" come up so much? How many guns can a person use at one time? I think overkill has the fascination of KILL for too many people.

Either way you get to have a gunfight. I fail to see the problem Tongue
Ya but, how do you win?

Is it because you're the quickest draw in town?
Or is it because you're the "good" guy?

And really, do they need AR-15's for self defence or shooting rabbits, or deer?
Do they really need semi automatic rifles capable of holding large magazines?
If you can't down your target with 5 shots then perhaps guns aren't for you.

They're embarrassed to state the real reason, that they just want to keep all those cool toys. So they come up with lame after lame after lame, then get mad when it's pointed out how lame it is.

How is self-defense a straw man?

There are firearms designed for different purposes.

What overkill?

No, you little fuckhead, you started in with the information-free, polarizing posts that added nothing to the discussion.

So fuck off, troll.

An is too small a caliber for deer, although it is excellent for coyotes.

They also hold small magazines.

If the target is 6 assailants, 5 shots won't do.

I have valid reasons for owning guns. I'm not the least embarrassed.

Wrong. How does a weaker person defend against a stronger assailant, or one armed with something else? Or against multiple assailants?

Quote:Ocamm's razor applies, are firearms neccesary for everyday, civilised life? If not why keep them in the equation? Keep them on the range, keep them in the hunting lodges - why keep anti-personell weapons at home.

See above.

Your argument is confirmation that you perceive yourself to be living in an inherently and explicitly violent culture.

Tomorrow is precious, don't ruin it by fouling up today.

I see I gotta explain some things. A strawman isn't a strawman argument. Look 'em up.
