RE: New Vegas
I'm currently ditzing around in Freeside. I'm a completist when it comes to games like this, and I make a concerted effort to complete every quest as soon as it becomes available. I also try to explore the entire wasteland.

The quest "Wang Dang Atomic Tango" is pretty funny.

Just take over the strip for yourself, I'm not entirely sure how it works out but that's what I'm working on doing. Shit will be so cash.

Doesn't taking over the strip initiate some final battle ?
You know , like attacking the Enclave in Fallout 3 after you progress enough in the main quest ?!

No, but I found the cowboy ghoul dominatrix.

RE: New Vegas
I done played through this game once on regular mode, hitting most of the side quests and again on hardcore, sticking to the storyline, and I gotta say, this is a replica of Fallout 3. This isn't some "new" game independent of it's predecessors, with it's own content. It's the exact same thing, with a few new guns and a lot more bugs thrown in.

It's the same engine, same graphics, same character models, same HUD, etc. This clearly could have been an addon. The radio has a few good songs that quickly sour when you realize there's only about 5 songs spread across 2 radio stations. And the "Johnny Cash on a moonshine bender" doesn't compare to Three Dog.

It's a great game because Fallout 3 was a great game, but in no way deserves to be praised for the mechanics that already existed in FO3. As far as hardcore or normal, I didn't find anything particularly challenging. I was a melee fighter with maxed strength who just charged and karate chopped everyone to their deaths within 2 chops. Hardcore was the same except a bit more annoying because instead of sleeping it off, I now had to quick travel to Novac (my doctor of choice) everytime I was injured.

And as far as Caesar chasing me, I wouldn't know because I did one mission for him to get the chip, then I slaughtered him and his whole camp. Problem solved.

I'm not saying it's not a great game, but I'm tired of people praising it for things that it just carried over from Fallout 3.

RE: New Vegas
Well I WAS playing as an "evil character" that time around, devoid of morals or compassion. So I'd say you're pretty accurate.
