Q: So what if it is the biggest issue?

Gingrich: Then I won't get their support.

Q: How do we engage if you're elected. Then what, what does that mean?

Gingrich: Well then you engage in every topic except that.

Q: Except it's most important (some crosstalk).

Gingrich: Well, if that's most important to you then you should be for Obama.

Q: I am, thank you (The two men shake hands).

Gingrich: It's perfectly legitimate. I think it's perfectly legitimate.

Probably the most important social issue of this decade and he throws his hands up and says "Don't come to me. Gays are an abomination."

It's nuts. It's just as stupid as saying black men are an abomination. It's the same damn thing as racism and yet there's still this army of apologists out there saying it's fine.

I went to the apartheid museum in Cape Town a while back. Great place. Basically a monument to the amount of effort that it takes to get rid of a stupid, oppressive idea when it's entrenched in society. LGBT people shouldn't have to fight this hard for acceptance.

This is attitude is nothing new for the republican party...and they still get elected.

They bend every American over and cornholes them with their economic policies. Yet 50% of the population is still dumb enough to vote for them. Reaffirming their anti-gay status isn't going to hurt their chances in the slightest.

Just read this morning that Newt, in a 2006 newsletter, praised RomneyCare. The same RomneyCare he is bashing on the campaign trail.

Word now is that Newt and not his wife first asked for and filed for divorce. He's been claiming that she wanted the divorce. I imagine that makes him look less like an ass for filing for divorce the day after her cancer surgery.
