Noah's Ark definitely copied other cultures stories...
Just came across this article today. And I qoute:

After the discovery of these tablets, skeptics now claimed that the Bible copied the story of Noah's Ark from the earlier sources that were etched into Sumerian cuneiform some 700 years earlier. While this is a logical argument, given some of the stunningly precise details all the stories share, it is an equally logical argument that since Noah's Ark is real history, we would predict that non-biblical writers would document the event. Therefore, the Epic of Gilgamesh reinforces the faith that a Christian has that the Bible is God's inspired word.

Just read for a good laugh http://www.noahs-ark.tv/noahs-ark-flood-...rossus.htm

"Since Noah's Ark is real history"! Jeez, why didn't I think of that! I'm convinced!

The bible is like a hollywood B movie. It is poorly editted, poorly written, contradicts reality and all the material is copied from other stories.

When I find myself in times of trouble, Richard Dawkins comes to me, speaking words of reason, now I see, now I see.

In reading Thomas Pain's "Age of Reason", Barnes and Noble edition. I came across an end note (pg. 216 # 20)
That Jonah and the whale is aN ancient Persian poem by Saadi.

First, I didn't necro this thread!

Second, a couple of very good links that debunk the myth:

Runaway subduction vs. the laws of physics

The tectonic activity that allegedly occurred during the flood would have boiled the oceans, Noah and animals would be dead.

Me too!

This thread is old enough that the author probably lived back then and should know. Yes No

Is that mold I see growing in here? Unsure

I am not accountable to any God. I am accountable to myself - and not because I think I am God as some theists would try to assert - but because, no matter what actions I take, thoughts I think, or words I utter, I have to be able to live with myself.
