Non-Defense Department now more heavily armed than the Marine Corp
OK...

I KNOW there's going to be a bunch of dribblers who are going to start screaming "CONSPIRACY THEORIST" -- and putting up pictures of guys in tin-foil hats.......

....

BUT...

I'm not getting this from "Weird Net Daily" - or the National Enquirer....

This is from the Wall Street Journal......

http://www.wsj.com/articles/why-does-the...1466117176

Go read this.......

And give me a rational reason - that the Federal Government -- like the IRS, the EPA and the FDA are arming themselves with arming themselves to the teeth??????

Quote --

The Internal Revenue Service, which has 2,316 special agents, spent nearly $11 million on guns, ammunition and military-style equipment. That’s nearly $5,000 in gear for each agent.

Unquote...

WTF is going on??????

And you think civilians getting RID of their guns is a good idea?????

.....

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuqe uuuu

It sounds like a legitimate question to me. Consider

Ask congress.

1. It's an opinion piece which may or may not be accurate.

2. I'm not paying for the WSJ so I can't read the full opinion piece.

I would imagine something like that would have gone through congress.

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

It's better that they have it and not need it....

If it got passed on the federal defense budget, it could be a way for them to justify more military spending in the future when it's time to pass a new budget.

Cause we all know that News Corp Opinion pieces are based on 100% fact and never ever lie.

Assuming it is true, it's just an example of the weapon fetishism of the government (and the culture at large). The weapon manufacturers are more than happy to sell brand spanking new gear that'll never get used, but still probably get replaced in a few years; because not having the absolute best murder implements at any given time is somehow un-American. Our military already spend more than the next 10 largest military's combined, is it really a surprise that some of that money is being spent wastefully? Color me not surprised.
