Here's the thing about hope. As a Christian, I would pray for things, if God willing. Then I wouldn't get some of those things, but I'd roll over and shrug it off as something that wasn't in my cards from God. This is passive, but sometimes my feelings would go as far as feeling as though I am not deserving enough, or maybe even angry, which I'd then feel guilty about because I'm supposed to just have faith.

But then, when there is no God to pray to and I don't get things now, I am entitled to those feelings and I am allowed to have them, and then instead of just rolling over I can fight harder to be and get the things I want- that's power and hope!

I guess I don't feel bad about not praying now- I'm free to make *MY* moves in life.

It's hard not to make a snide remark, or at least one that comes across that way to you, when you are posting about how you find that religion offers more hope.

First of all, even if that is the case, that doesn't make it correct. Now I know that you're not interested in refuting the validity of religious "facts". I am simply pointing out that it is just a tool and nothing more. What this means is that there are plenty of other tools available. The fact that you can't seem to find one is quite frankly, your problem.

Searching for hope and meaning in life is completely up to you. Atheism DOES NOT offer that and religion only CLAIMS to offer it. If you find hope through religion, that is actually you finding hope within yourself. So to me, it's wildly confusing when you tell me that religion gives you hope, but Atheism does not.

So you can't get a job... keep working at it. Make changes. Have multiple people proof-read your resume. Attend job fairs. Network with people in the career field you're interested in.

Hope is out there waiting for you to stop making excuses. And guess what? Church buildings aren't the only housing it.

You are blaming god for your unemployment, lol.
Try blaming Bush, or better yet the aristocracy that own this country. They are the reason you don't have a job, and the reason you HAVE to have one without any time off. No one can afford to be out of work in this shithole country....

Maybe your an idiot, and get shit feedback from past employers? Seems highly probable.

Jackassflash needs to go.
The only thing funny about his otherwise insulting and ignorant post above is that the sentence "you are blaming god for your unemployement" comes from the guy who blames his virginity on his atheism. His claimed age of 16 might explain some of his posts, but doesnt excuse them.
I have a sneaking suspicion that his virginity is personality related.

Your beliefs do not make you a better person, your behavior does.

You are a 16yo so what working experience are you speaking from? With an attitude like yours I doubt you'd get any decent jobs.
