Let's not forget that "obamacare" was originally the Republican plan back in 94

The common Democrat and Republican are merely the same.

RE: Obama the best Republican President since Reagan?
Obama got DADT repealed. He got a massive healthcare bill passed which would not have happened under a Republican. (The bill you mentioned was an alternative to Hillary's plan - or they wouldn't even have suggested it, and they never brought it up again in a dozen years.) He specifically targeted funding for infrastructure. He enforced equal pay for women. He ended the media blackout on naming war casualties. He ended stop-loss, re-instituted federal funding for stem cells, brought us into compliance with the Geneva Conventions, created tax incentives to buy hybrids, etc.

Then this week he decided to give up on closing Gitmo, and threw it all in the toilet.

Social reasons I fully support Obama for, but his idea that he must work with the corporations who bought him and congress is not a good thing.

RE: Obama the best Republican President since Reagan?
I don't trust Obama, well, it's because I think it's pretty corrupt because of what sosa said.

"The New World Order is actually an invention of Rome and the black pope which was started by a former Jesuit, Adam Weishaupt in 1773 when the pope banned the Jesuit Order. Weishaupt merged the top Free Mason lodges with the Sabbatean Labor Party Jewish banks and formed the Illuminati, which has been at the center of the grand conspiracy ever since. They control Skull and Bones, the CIA, FBI, MI6, ISI, Mossad and even the SVR (KGB) Rothschild merged with the Vatican bank in 1822. 911=Their work."

this comment makes me really interested about the Illuminati because of the control/power the group has, well time to look what this is all about.

Sosa nice list, so much bad things Obama is doing or the government. I'm beginning to hate the usa government more now. Wonder what's my government is up too as well.

RE: Obama the best Republican President since Reagan?
Sosa raises such a laundry list of points that I couldn't have dreamed about covering in the space of my article.

This was a tough one to write - I'd spent nearly a year just pissed off at Republicans for their audacity to be so critical of the president while he has gone above and beyond to compromise with them, or simply cave, on just about every issue. But it finally dawned on me that there was a method behind their mean-spiritedness, and it is quite brilliant and worthy of admiration in a Machiavellian way.

But the point I was getting at in the end, the best part of the strategy, is forcing the left to defend Obama against the BS rhetoric from the right - I know, I get caught up in doing it as well.

I don't think he's been a good president, overall. He's certainly better than the alternative we could have had in 2008 - but it's nearly impossible to criticize his performance while spending time defending him from the wing nuts.

RE: Obama the best Republican President since Reagan?
To be fair, some of the policies Sosa wrote about are Bush era programs but Obama has not only done nothing to stop them but has embraced many of them.

I'd also throw in his total sell out on financial reform.
