While it remains a strong possibility that Trump and his family were too dumb and too talkative to have intentionally colluded with the Russians, they still may have been extremely useful idiots. So there's a possibility that Russians both enabled and manipulated them in ways which still make the Trumps liable to prosecution. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

Is he afraid? Or pissed that the constant media coverage is hampering his ability to get things done?

This is why I directly pointed out that in this poll they used only 23% republicans and STILL barely muster 40% that think Trump colluded with Russians.

They like to use this tactic for approval ratings and election polls.

RE: Oh what a tangled web we weave
Being a useful idiot isn't a crime, though.

I'm somewhat with LDH here. We've been hearing about Russia for months and all we've got is a 30 minute meeting with members of his family. I think jr and Kushner fucked up, and maybe they technically broke the law (maybe) but there is no evidence of actual collusion. And, if the Democrats continue to beat this drum and never show anything for it, it's going to be a problem. This is why the came out with that "Better Deal" crap yesterday. They know they need something to offer.

Of course, the Republicans are doing all they can to help them. Today they votes to start the debates to repeal, but not necessarily replace, the ACA. If they do that, I think the Democrats may be able to just sit and count votes next November.

Or, Trump himself can continue to give the Russian stuff legs. If he forces Sessions out and put in someone who fires Mueller, that may kill him too. If he just STFU about the whole thing and just let it run into course, he'd probably take it away as an issue altogether. He can't, though.

That's not the same as directly meeting with a Russian government employee, hatching a plan to steal an election and then covering it up. Hoping for something to happen is not illegal.

For a candidate to publicly invite a semi-hostile foreign country to interfere in his favor in the election is at the very least reprehensible, whether or not he's directly involved.

Everything about Trump is reprehensible. That doesn't make it illegal, though. Or grounds for impeachment.

It's great television and his mental breakdowns over it are hilarious but this is a distraction from a number of things being underreported that are far more important and concerning.
