Old Yeller
Did this movie make anybody else bawl their eyes out when they were five years old?

Don't let those gnomes and their illusions get you down. They're just gnomes and illusions.

Speaking of Old Yeller, Kevin Corcoran the actor that played younger Arliss in the movie passed away last month. RIP Arliss and Spike.

RE: Old Yeller
Duck me...

My husband asked when the boys were little if we should buy it on VHS. I said only if we want them permanently damaged by it.

Seriously *that* movie was the reason really a few years later I walked right out of Jaws.

Facepalm

I saw it was streaming on Netflix, husband added it to my queue just to hear me scream...there are far better things he can do to get that reaction. Dodgy

It's not the typical movie ending at all.

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

Made me cry like a baby. "Where the Red Fern Grows" is even more heartbreaking. It references god a lot, which is annoying now when I watch it as an atheist. Still a great story about determination, family, and the bond between human and dog.

RE: Old Yeller
Old Yeller.......yes. Just the thought of that movie gets me to tear up. But the other dog picture that was worse for me was My Dog Skip.

I too had a little dog that I grew up with. I too went off to college and had to leave the dog at my parents house. He would sit by my bedroom door just like Skip did in the movie and wait for me to come home. But Weeping I didn't come home. I was at college. I would come home during the holiday season and Weeping he would be waiting for me.....at my bedroom door. He would be so happy to see me but Sadcryface I would have to leave to go back to college.

Sadcryface

Weeping

He was old....he got older.....and waited for me by my bedroom door.

Aw.....jeez.....Weeping I can't continue.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.
