Old songs for new times
How about some old songs that apply as much today as they did then?

This fits with how I feel about current times:

RE: Old songs for new times
One of my favorite sad old songs ever.

"Let's Face The Music And Dance"

There may be trouble ahead
But while there's music and moonlight and love and romance
Let's face the music and dance

Before the fiddlers have fled
Before they ask us to pay the bill and while we still have the chance
Let's face the music and dance

Soon we'll be without the moon, humming a different tune and then
There may be teardrops to shed
So while there's moonlight and music and love and romance
Let's face the music and dance

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

Don't let those gnomes and their illusions get you down. They're just gnomes and illusions.

This is the first song I learnt on guitar when I was 12 years old and I just played it the other day for the first time in years. Made my dog howl along, ha ha.

I would put this also, first one that came to my mind when reading your post. Absolutely applies, timeless.
