RE: On line, or real?
I've spent a lot of time IRL with germanyt, but I guess that really doesn't count.

RE: On line, or real?
This forum is the only place I've had a chance to get to know anybody that I met online. I was kind of wondering the same thing the other day. It would be very interesting to meet somebody that I met online; I would be able to "match up" all the character traits I thought that person has that I've come to know and appreciate about them. I would love to meet some people on here... It would be great to ACTUALLY get to know them

He introduced it to me. I have a very good friend whom I've known for about 20 years. When Facebook started and we became friends, I was amazed at how very different her online self was/is from her reality self. It's like she puts on an act of someone else (maybe how she wants to be perceived?) vs how she really is. Everything is perfect, proper and flawless on FB, in the most bazaar sense (not just untagging from bad pictures like we all do time to time, but saying things she would never say or over reacting to things said by others, etc). She doesn't sound like herself in the least. Weird. “Never grow a wishbone, daughter, where your backbone ought to be.” – Clementine Paddleford |
