Its so ingrained at this point though that people, even knowing the truth, will cling to it.

Sort of like GMOs

Don't get me started on GMOs. I'm so tired of GMO's (Rev would understand why)

RE: Organic Foods dirty little secret
I don't taste a difference between the organic and non organic vegetables. I DO taste the difference between a tomato I might grow in my own garden and something from the store, organic or not, but that's because I pick it when it's really ripe and use it right away. Strawberries are the same way. I let them ripen up and they taste much better than the organic and non organic store strawberries.

I got lazy this year and didn't grow a vegetable garden so I might go to the local farmers market and buy their stuff.

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

I guess it all depends on how you look at things...

The way I see it, it's none of my business what people choose to eat.
Kinda like how it's none of my business what they do in their bedrooms.

Why do you use organic produce in your bedroom? Tongue

Funny. Some of the people I know who eat totally organic and never let any meat touch their lips look like 10-15 years older than they are. Just something I've noticed over the years.

I don't buy organic stuff because it's too expensive, and I know how to wash my food before cooking it.

I still prefer (and do) by organic. I just don't want the pesticides. I'm vegan and fruits/veggies are a large part of my diet. Trader Joe's sells a really good fruit and veggie wash.

Yeah, I used to use it when I lived in SoCal and they had TJ's handy. I suppose I could look into Whole Foods Market, but in the meantime I do a thorough spray rinse.
