Our JennyBee Stirring Up More Trouble
Her Yoga is pissing off some of the gods - or their spokespeople anyway.

I hope this doesn't make you giggle in an awkward pose, JB, and cause a hernia Tongue

I have heard this from some Christian pastors. I actually used to do something called (and don't laugh) Holy Yoga. Hobo Basically, you do the same exact poses as they do in "regular" yoga class--but you quote scripture and praise God while you do it. That way, no demons can get in Laugh out load

From the article:

Quote: It is agreed that yoga has its roots in the Hindu tradition, and that it constitutes one of the main schools of Hinduism; but it can of course be practised as a physical and even mental discipline by people who are ignorant of, or even mildly resistant to the teachings of Hinduism.

So, apparently, if you know about Hinduism but have no interest in converting, you cannot practice yoga. Your joints simply lock up when you attempt to assume the position.

Christian biology is extremely weird.

Did you know that DNA was designed to be fundamentally corruptible in the face of sin*? Before Original Sin, there were no diseases, and I'm pretty sure the sun didn't cause cancer. We live in a fallen world! Isn't God great!?

RE: Our JennyBee Stirring Up More Trouble
From the article in the OP's post:

Quote:Albert Mohler, an influential leader of America's evangelical camp, has told Christians to stay away from stretches,

So now the shit-eating preachers are telling their parishioners not even to do stretching? Doing exercise for basic health is now dangerous to your salvation??? That's some fucked-up shit.

As an atheist, I regard the "spiritual" crap that often accompanies yoga as just that: crap. But the exercises are extremely useful for health. Yoga (the physical aspect of it) provides strength and flexibility which are essential parts of good health, along with c/v fitness, which requires aerobic exercise as well. But I guess the preachers don't have enough to be bigoted against, so now they're going to attack exercise.
