PBS - what's on, what do you watch?
Great line up tonight on WGBH-TV in Boston:

8:00 PM Nature
Touching the Wild
Naturalist Joe Hutto chronicles his experiences with a herd of wild mule deer in Wyoming's Wind River Mountains. It takes two years for him to gain their trust and acceptance, but once he does it's as if he's one of them.

9:00 PM Nova
Inside Animal Minds: Dogs & Super Senses
How animals use their senses. Included: the differences between wolves and dogs in how they interpret visual information and smells, as well as why they differ; and the ways in which animal brains process information provided by the senses.

10:00 PM Your Inner Fish
Your Inner Reptile
Part 2 of 3. The evolution of reptile-like animals into shrew-like mammals about 250 million years ago is detailed. Included: the features humans inherited from their reptilian ancestors, such as skin, teeth and ears.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

RE: PBS - what's on, what do you watch?
Damn. PBS is probably the only reason I might actually want to have television pipped into my hovel. I always seem to gravitate to it when I have the chance to see tv. So much of everything else is just boring crap. Dodgy

I was at my Mom's over the weekend and saw The Bletchley Circle is going into it's 3rd year - YAY! They had a nice little special which showed where they film some of the flashback scenes - yes, at Bletchley Park with one of the actual code breaking machines in the shots!! - very, very cool.

I'm going to get the dvds whenever they come out in a massive boxed set. Thumbsup

There must always be NOVA.
This should be written into the Bill of Rights. Drinking Beverage

I think in the end, I just feel like I'm a secular person who has a skeptical eye toward any extraordinary claim, carefully examining any extraordinary evidence before jumping to conclusions. ~ Eric ~ My friend ... who figured it out.

See here they are, the bruises, some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF
