I open a bunch of videos with plugins disabled by default, then as I click through my list I watch one video while the next one is playing its ad on mute.

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

So have I, proffesionally and personally. Firefox is slow and unstable. It was good 8 years ago, but I'd rather use IE than FF.
