RE: Pat Robertson: Halloween Is 'A Night When The Devil Rejoices'
Yeah I'm pretty sure many people were celebrating Halloween or Samhain way before Lucifer was even invented or became a well known figure of darkness and evil. It was just a way to celebrate during harvest time and welcome the darker days of Winter. Even the premise of Halloween these days being about ghosts, goblins and witches doesn't really relate to evil, it's all in good fun.

When you look at it the way Mexicans do and their celebration of Dia De Los Muertos, it's about remembering the loved ones who have passed. What's so wrong with that? I think it's emotionally healthy to recognize that death is a part of life, we will all die someday and our loved ones are still with us.

Of course for them it's more religious but it's not evil or connected to Satan in any way so it's just strange for some Xians to connect Halloween and the Devil, why? What do they get out of it? I guess they just need to complain about something.
