Philippine Coast Guard killed a Chinese fisherman

Besides, spokesman of the PCG said they fired at the fishermen to make them stop. PCG felt sorry but refused to apologize.

PRC Government:
[05.09] the State Council's Taiwan Affairs spokesman condemned this killing as "barbaric" and demanded that the Philippines investigate the incident thoroughly and swiftly.

KMT Government:
[05.09] President Ma Ying-jeou demanded that the Philippines apologize for the killing, arrest the person responsible and compensate the family of the killed 65-year-old fisherman.
[05.10] DPP Legislator Yeh Yi-jing asked the Foreign Affairs Department of the KMT Government to clarify whether the Philippines shot the fishermen because they thought the fishermen were under the PRC administration.

Are these players facing up for a punch-up over the disputed aquatic territory?

Territory disputes don't have clear winners before the end, with big possibility that there are no winners at all, like what we've seen in the two WWs.
