Photo of cop praying with a woman
So there is this photo of a cop praying while on duty with a woman.

Is this a violation of the First Amendment or am I just super sensitive?

I have more to this but want to solicit opinions first.

RE: Photo of cop praying with a woman
I'd say it's more of a violation of the cop fucking around doing nothing while he's supposed to be on duty.

I see it as a good thing...

Two people, doing nothing......

They're less likely to cause any trouble......

......

Of course - the same could be said if they were both passed out with a spike in their arm.....

heh

The difference between prayer and masturbation - is when a guy is through masturbating - he has something to show for his efforts.

It depends. Did she ask him or not? If she did, then I would say no. If she asked him I don't see a problem with it if they were just waiting for other help. I do see it as a problem if he did what the paramedic did in "Do You Believe?"

I think there's a time and a place to take issue with church and state violations and the like but this certainly isn't one of them. If it makes them feel better let them have it. The shit that's been going on is hard.

I'd like more details, but I'm thinking "super sensitive" .

I don't see anything wrong with an officer trying to comfort or calm someone.

Damn, the cops can't do anything right. They get violent they get in trouble. They try to be sensitive they get in trouble. The ultimate damned if you do and damned if you don't scenario.

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

A cop taking the time to reach out to connect to the community... I see nothing wrong with that.

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Ok, but if we flip this and say a local zoning meeting in Dallas decided to pray to console a member on the committee who lost a family member in the shooting, do you feel the same way? Just curious where we draw the line.
