Laugh out load I came for the atheism, but stayed because of this kind of banter.

FC, that pic is gorgeous!

Thanks mate.

I’ve stuck around because I sincerely feel a kinship to many people here, Chas, you and so many others.

Promised Jenny some finches.

The 'aviary' at uni:

A Long-tailed finch performing a display:

(Due to the conditions here, they mate pretty much year round so the males frequently dance with feathers and grass; the hills of SA are not their native habitat)

A female and a male Long-tail, along with a parrot I can't identify:
(didn't take that yesterday but I didn't have a good front shot of the LT finches and I wanted to include one)

A bathing Painted Finch:

Some Double-barred Finch pictures:

And for bonus since there was already one parrot, why not more?

Rainbow Lorikeets chilling in a wattle tree:

....and the back of an Eastern Rosella that just would not turn around.

Glad to be of service. Taking those photos helped me calm down during the wait.

An Argus Butterfly. I'm not happy with the picture but it's the best I could get.

I like that one a lot. Looks kind of abstract.
