RE: Photography
I just bought my first camera, so I can take pictures now! I always borrowed one of my sister's cameras before, but the thing was big and heavy. I'm a casual photographer; I go for a walk, happen to see something pretty, and want to take a photograph. With the big one I couldn't do that. I'd only have a camera if I went for a walk for the purpose of getting photos. But fate is not kind, and opportunities arise when I am unarmed.

It's a point-and-shoot, but it should be adequate for my purposes. I'm not going for professional quality photos, just photos that make good desktop backgrounds or feel worth sharing.

I need to get my fix.

You gotta wear the camera like a medallion and make it a bling-bling accessory. Big Grin

I know what you mean about carrying gear. That's the down fall. Every photographer, amateur or not, has moments they can't take a photo but wish they did. I always do this thing where I blink backwards to take a memory shot. The memory drive isn't really the most reliable though. Wink Oh well! Some parts of life are just meant to be experienced fleetingly, I guess.

RE: Photography
Here are some from near the start of my road trip.

These are taken in the small town of Gravelbourg Saskatchewan, population 1093... But it has this MASSIVE hundred year old french catholic school thats going to be torn down soon, since only about 100 kids are enrolled, and they only use 1 floor.
