That's interesting. I was under the impression that it was just an American thing, but you're in America yourself.

To British ears it certainly sounds strange. It's like the inverse of a double negative and ultimately gives the wrong meaning if translated literally.

After all, if someone could care less then it means that they do actually care to some degree.

Lol! That's right!

I have a good friend who says it all the time and I will reply "so you DO care." Haha He gets agitated. Big Grin

One of those quirky things in life, I guess lol

It's perfect, then.

"Thank Gandalf it's Friday!"

I'm silly.

Yes you are! *pinches cheek*

Well as if that wasn't bad enough, I apparently managed to close the thread by accident and didn't notice for twenty minutes.

Still getting used to the ropes.

That actually may be true... The natural laws of the universe and such... I'm pretty sure that everything any of us do are things that we have to do.

But it's legit enough to be in the dictionary. Man, the dictionary is going down hill lately.

irregardless |ˌiriˈgärdlis|
adjective& adverb informal
regardless.
ORIGIN early 20th cent.: probably a blend of irrespective and regardless.
usage: Irregardless is widely heard, perhaps arising under the influence of such perfectly correct forms as irrespective, but should be avoided by careful users of English. Use regardless to mean ‘without regard or consideration for’ or ‘nevertheless’.

We have enough youth. How about looking for the Fountain of Smart?
