Come on. You wouldn't have been creeped out if it was Jason Statham's fingers.

It was just a fucking apple man, we're sorry okay? Please stop the madness Laugh out load

I don't think I've ever been fed a pickup line. Lol at leaSt not in real life. I think I'd be horrified.

Yeah...but did you keep him? Tongue

I haven't tested that exact line, but I'm fairly certain that out of ten cold approaches, I'd get blown out ten times. Sad

Some random dude off the streets--if that was the first thing that came out of his mouth--no. But yes in this example--I was on the train and I was talking to this guy about the Red Sox (he noticed my cap) so we had a nice convo about sports and he was pretty cute Wink. If he had said at the end "I really enjoyed talking to you, maybe we could hang out sometime?" I would have said yes. Thumbsup

We may just have a different definition of "pick up line." I view it as the first thing you say to start an interaction with someone you don't know with whom you might be interested in having some kind of romantic relationship.

"I really enjoyed talking to you, maybe we could hang out sometime?" is a great closer that I actually keep in my own conversation toolbox, but I only get to use it if we made it through the opener (pick up line) and follow up conversation.

So in your story about the cute guy talking about sports, it sounds like he used a situational pick up line based on your hat, followed by normal conversation...followed by him totally blowing it by not asking for contact information so you two could hang out again... Facepalm

I didn't ask him for his info either No *sigh* Maybe I'll luck out and see him on the train again.

I didn't know there were actual classifications of pick up lines Laugh out load Well, if that's the case, then yes situational pick up lines would probably work best. Thumbsup
