RE: Pick your funeral song.
While I'm not the biggest Eagles fan, this has got to be one of the most peaceful and least self-involved goodbye songs ever.

http://www.vplay.ro/watch/tuwj5eqz/

A perfect day, the sun is sinkin' low
As evening falls, the gentle breezes blow
The time we shared went by so fast
Just like a dream, we knew it couldn't last
But I'd do it all again
If I could, somehow
But I must be leavin' soon
It's your world now

It's your world now
My race is run
I'm moving on
Like the setting sun
No sad goodbyes
No tears allowed
You'll be alright
It's your world now

Even when we are apart
You'll always be in my heart
When dark clouds appear in the sky
Remember true love never dies

But first a kiss, one glass of wine
Just one more dance while there's still time
My one last wish: someday, you'll see
How hard I tried and how much you meant to me

It's your world now
Use well the time
Be part of something good
Leave something good behind
The curtain falls
I take my bow
That's how it's meant to be
It's your world now
It's your world now
It's your world now

(It is also impossible to find it on a normal video site.)

"E se non passa la tristezza con altri occhi la guarderĂ²."

RE: Pick your funeral song.
I'd like my funeral to have a minimum of speeches and a maximum of music. My playlist varies with the years but always ends with this (assuming people will be willing to sit quietly and listen for nine minutes):

Religious disputes are like arguments in a madhouse over which inmate really is Napoleon.

Re: Pick your funeral song.
It would have to be Growing Old, Is Getting Old by the Silversun Pickups.

"Pull out the fear of silence
Put out the need for guidance
Put out your own devices
And don't be afraid of the cold Afraid of the cold
Afraid of the time
You've got no where to go but here."

This song entrances me. It's eerily calm but so chaotic.

Not very original but unless I can come up with something better in the next 50-70 years I would probably go with:

RE: Pick your funeral song.
So probably some Oasis song, Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger or Stop Crying Your Heart Out.

This song would surely make it though

Can they please play this song as they lower my coffin into the ground?
