Podcast #136 - Psychoanalyzing God (with Dr. Valerie Tarico)

Best and worst of Ferdinand .....
Best
Ferdinand: We don't really say 'theist' in Alabama. Here, you're either a Christian, or you're from Afghanistan and we fucking hate you.
Worst
Ferdinand: Everyone from British is so, like, fucking retarded.

I liked this one. That one caller though, he was saying along the lines that every great philosopher or thinker had a link to god even those that predated christianity. They were working with god's wisdom and not thier own. This guy is going to snap someday and realise those words only came from humans..either that or fall even deeper into the confirmation bias abyss.

He's already fallen deeper. I think it might actually be a good thing for him. He's realized that trusting in only one dogma is dangerous and false, he's only one shorter step away from realizing that all of the dogma is born of man's mind.

I hope his call in this podcast helped him to see that.

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.
