Yes, even in America.

Article 7 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) states that "All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law."

That's a noble statement.

Maybe someday it will be put into actual practice, somewhere.

Undecided I'd avoided watching the footage until now. I'm glad I did in the end. FUCK. *That* is justice? That's a police officer just doing his job? Fucking hell. And this murdering fuck walked... I'm fucking DONE. Fuck this shit. Fuck everything.

This is such a high profile case I cant see him getting another post as a cop, even in America, the country would have to be brain dead for that to happen.

And you have to assume that the cameras are some sort of deterrent. That such encounters might have been worse in previous generations does not seem that far fetched.

If all that happens when people watch the footage is big fat fuck-all then the cameras are no deterrent at all Dodgy Although I do believe you're probably correct.

Not being familiar with American jurisprudence here... is it possible for the Public Prosecutor's department to lodge an application for a retrial with an appeals court? In Australia, the DPP can do so for any perceived miscarriage of justice, such as an acquittal, or a manifestly inadequate sentence.

No America has a Double Jeopardy law that states once you are found Not Guilty you can never be retried for the same charges.
