He'd go to jail for a very long time.

SIO51: Andrew Torrez on Manslaughter: Philando Castile and Michelle Carter

In the same weekend, a teen found guilty of manslaughter for convincing her boyfriend to commit suicide, and a police officer found NOT guilty after shooting and killing Philando Castile. It has left many wondering, how did this happen? This demands expert analysis, so I’ve brought in the big guns in Andrew Torrez, resident law expert at the Opening Arguments Podcast to help us understand the situation!

You take on a responsibility when you carry a concealed handgun.

Part of that responsibility is to interface properly with law enforcement officers should such interaction occur.

If you can't accept that responsibility, don't carry as gun.

Or are you a "wild West" kinda guy???

Apparently the cop was.

It's also good to note that vigilantism is also illegal. That doesn't leave with many other options.

The graph on the left was put out by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The graph on the right was me photoshopping the original so that the y-axis goes in the usual direction instead of upside down. I doubt that there was a sudden increase in suicides when Florida's stand-your-ground law went into effect. And C.Chan needs to be fired.
