RE: Popcorn or Chips?
Both, neither. I will not choose.

When I'm watching calories, I go for popcorn, air popped, with some kind of spice.

When I'm not watching calories, I like corn chips and salsa.

RE: Popcorn or Chips?
Seems like they aren't really competing products to me. That said I rarely eat popcorn. Mostly because I eat a lot of sandwiches, and chips are easier, and more frequently come with chips than other sides.

Now, I do like popcorn. I eat it a few times a year though. I go to the theatre once in a blue moon. Sometimes years go past. Even at home, I don't watch many movies. Movie watching and popcorn are synonymous. I eat a bag of popcorn, usually, when someone else makes it and asks "Hey, want some popcorn". I don't think I'd buy it myself.

But what makes them glisten like that? Some secretion or what?

The perspiration of recently deflowered virgins.

Extra virgins, if you're lucky.

Football.... soccer.

Chips... Crisps.

Dodgy

Anyway. I like both but if I had to choose I would have crisps.

Salted Crisps, in a sandwich, with lashing's of real butter and salad cream. Sometimes with a bit of grated cheddar Drooling

RE: Popcorn or Chips?
I'll choose regular old popato chisps please.

I feel like if popcorn had some jazzed up mixes more frequently I could get behind it more. I think somewhere that must exist but apart from gourmet popcorn shops I don't see it, and that stuff isn't significantly ranging apart from ordinary flavor addings like the caramel, different cheese flavors, chocolate, etc.

This!

Popcorn, though, is a nostalgia thing for me too. I remember being at my grandparents' farm playing cards or other games with my grandmother. She would make a BIG batch of popcorn in a cast iron skillet, topped with lots of butter. Drooling

Popcorn was the first thing I learned to 'cook'. Just like being the human remote for dad he needed someone to operate the popcorn popper and, being the oldest, I was chosen. Tongue

The three of us kids would fight over who got the 'buttery pan'. We would melt the butter in a small saucepan and drizzle it over the popcorn. One of us got to use the pan instead of a bowl - more buttery goodness that way. Thumbsup

Popcorn...

It's my personal flaw that keeps my dentist's house remodel going.

"Call the contractor we can get the fancy tub now, moms has an appointment."

But I'm a purist just a little salt, sometimes butter (but it must be clarified).

I'm kinda pissed that coconut oil has become a thing, the prices have shot up.
