Why are you here?

Why are you here?

Because I like almost all the people here. I learn things. I laugh. I enjoy the conversations...most of them anyway.

Now you...

RE: Pope meets Mark Zuckerberg
I'm here because I am lonely. I live in a Muslim country which has an airbase down the road bombing ISIS and I am a former "Christian" and atheist. I thought I could discuss things about religion and make sense of the world around me and the fears I and my neighbours have about travelling across a border, being stopped and beheaded. So, I came here to talk to people about Near East religions since what I learned about them in Sunday school and through university, seems to be utterly wrong. I thought I would find open-minded people who would address these issues.

But, instead, I get people posting smart-assed quips.

So, maybe I had it wrong, and I should just come here to abuse people or make flippant remarks to get a jolly out of thinking I have "bettered" someone. Maybe my approval rating would rise...

Now you...

Do you enjoy seeing people called "fucking idiots" over and over? Or do you like it when they react and then you can call them out for engaging in the same behaviour?

I suppose that's like asking whether you like being on top or bottom, or just watching.

I have called you nothing. I also said I like most of the conversation.

Your last sentence is baiting and no better than what you accuse others of.
