The Peds Infectious Disease people and Peds Hematologists today used cord blood to attempt to replicate the cure of the German gentleman, who was cured of both his Leukemia, and HIV, with a bone marrow transplant. I don't think the Germans used cord blood stem cells, (but I may be wrong). In any case, in a month or two we may know if this just might work.

I didn't know it had been tried in Australia, so I don't know what happened in that case.
