Practices that have helped you?
What practices have helped you to connect with yourself and find peace??? I like to journal and I try to practice meditation..... and what do you think about positive affirmations?

I think positive affirmations are good. I call them mantras and use them in my meditation practice.

Sure, its whatever my intention is for the day. For instance if I'm stressed, a common one in yoga is the mantra "Let go." The way you do it is very simple--sit comfortably, inhale and think or say aloud "Let" and on the exhale think or say aloud "Go." Repeat several times. I use mala beads for a 108 cycle. And sometimes I repeat. But the word can be anything for the day. It could be "Relax" or "You are confident" or "You can do this" or "Strength" etc. Sometimes I'll repeat a Hindu mantra.
