Preferred Religion?
For a good many decades I have been involved with quite a few religions and cults.
Conversely the same can be said for secularism, atheism/agnosticism,humanism and rationalism. At times I have been surprised by all of them.

As most here are mainly atheist/agnostic I wonder what, for whatever reason, religion you would choose if you had to choose one.

Preferred religion anyone? Angel

Thank goodness I don't really need to choose one, I wouldnt survive.

But if I did have to I'd go with Wicca.

They care about the world around them, thinking that all life is important which I appreciate. They have some lovely rules (Rule of 3 is a good example)

Being human is celebrated, and things like sex are not taboo. They also dont have a firm "Good and Evil" going on. Believing that nature is nature and all people are capable of good and harm.

They also don't really get into trying to convert people. They very much are "to each their own"

Plus. Skyclad. What more can I say Smile

(You really should have an "other" in your survey)

RE: Preferred Religion?
My problem with choosing is that it is a choice that is made based intentionally on ignorance. The less I know about a religion, the more likely I would be to choose it if forced. But as I learn more about any given religion, the less likely I am to select it.

So many cats, so few good recipes.

Have to? No.

Judging from the state Britain's getting in to at the moment I'll be forced to join Islam to avoid being beaten in the streets pretty soon :L

RE: Preferred Religion?
I like religions that don't directly or indirectly encourage racism, homophobia, sexism, warfare, political and social repression, rigid social structures, anti-science attitudes or potentially harmful superstitions. So... none. I could not bear being a part of any religion I have ever studied.

Dunno....

I don't think I'd choose any.

But if someone held a gun to my head and said you must choose...

It might be this:

I honestly don't know a lot about it...could be completely nuts. But from what I've read -- it's interesting.
