RE: Presidential Election Predictions
If the Republicans want even a prayer of winning, they need to come up with a new contender.

Not one of their front-runners is electable.

So, unless they do so, I predict a decisive Democratic win, barring their nominee shooting someone on Fifth Avenue. Dodgy

It sure looks like it's the Democratic party's to lose, from this far out.

Of course, given how the process has been institutionalised into a yearlong death march as opposed to the quick 30 day turnover most developed countries manage, there's plenty of time for things to be turned on end by outside factors.

Or because it's a disingenuous excuse to disengage entirely. I mean, there's that.
An excuse? The ludicrous faults that exist in the US election system (gerrymandering, winner-takes-it-all, etc.) virtually make it impossible for voters of a third party to receive any meaningful representation in government. A vote for a third party might as well be thrown in the trash. At least in Germany, we have more than two political parties in government because the threshold for representation is only 5%.

RE: Presidential Election Predictions
Prediction: Probably Hillary.
As much as I think that home network security bullshit SHOULD come back and bite her in the ass, unfortunately it really does seem that she's above the law.

I agree the Cruz and Trump are both unelectable, and probably Bernie as well, as much as I like the guy (despite not agreeing with him on his socialist views).

I'm still hoping for a third party candidate to make some waves, haven't seen anything, but the unelectable frontrunners could leave the door open for them for a change. One can hope at least.

That train left the station a while back, methinks.

Exactly. In the context of not standing up to wall street, I think you can make a good argument that both parties are at fault. The problem is this whole "both sides are doing it, so both are wrong!" mindset permeates to a lot of other politics, and it's just not true. You can point to a lot of issues and positions where each side has very clear stances and stands for very different things. These are still important reasons to vote.
