Preventing Voter Fraud with Voter ID Laws
Or, disenfranchising black voters who historically vote Democrat?

Well, gee, I fucking wonder if that coincidence says anything? Hmmmm Consider I wonder quietly to myself.

Makes my blood boil. That is why we still need a voting rights act.

I consider the possibility that you consider my consideration of wondering to be sarcastic.

RE: Preventing Voter Fraud with Voter ID Laws
It's very simple....

If a politician is telling you something is for YOUR own good -- it's probably something that he thinks will get him votes...

YOUR own good, he gives a shit for less about.

As far as ID in the polling place --- I think it would be a very simple thing --- if someone doesn't have a picture ID - an signed affidavit by a person who DOES have ID as to who you are would suffice. It wouldn't take much to settle this non-issue once and for all.....

.......................................

The difference between prayer and masturbation - is when a guy is through masturbating - he has something to show for his efforts.

You have to KNOW people? That's completely worse. Far too much human interaction now with voting.

RE: Preventing Voter Fraud with Voter ID Laws
EK, great videos. I was wondering about the actual rate of voter fraud since I don't ever recall hearing about it and if there were cases, then they would be used by the republicans as proof that it is needed. As such, 13 cases of in person voter fraud in the U.S. in the last ten years is hardly worth disenfranchising whole swaths of the population. The thing that the second video really highlights is the ID required to vote. I remember Rachel Maddow doing a segment on Texas and how Texas demographics have changed and it really should be a blue state with the growing latino population, but it isn't due to gerrymandering and voting restrictions. She cited as an example, that student IDs were not acceptable IDs to vote, but NRA cards were. Why? Well, students tend to be more liberal, while NRA members tend to be more conservative. Again, this is why we still need a voting rights act. This is so blatant! Don't these republicans have any shame????

As a gun owner -- I'm still mystified why an NRA membership card could be used as ID....

It does NOT have a picture of the member on it....
