RE: "Profound" statements - which one do you hate?
"Thats just a theory" - No, its not a theory it is a Theory and there difference, let me explain...
"Thats just an opinion" - Yes, an objective opinion. Fortunately for you one of us is capable of forming one, let me explain...
"Do you believe in the Biblical God" - Which one?
"I'm agnostic" - No, your just lazy or afraid.
"What do you believe the purpose of life is?" - Thats not really a question is it? Well.. its a loaded question.
"Have you ever even read the Bible?" - Why yes, I've read many ..but I dont know your denomination so in your case it might be no.
"ancient wisdon" - by that I assume you mean old writting that can be interperated any way that pleases you?
"The koran teaches us all we need to know" - yes, including that if your daughter is raped that is perfectly fine as long as he pays you for the shame you incured ..and then you must force your daughter to marry him.
"God gave us free will" - oh' really? And he values the free will or a rapist more than he does the innocent victim?
"Who told you that nonsense!!?" - the Bible.

i say this one quite a lot, and it makes me feel better. why don't you like this statement?

Most times there is no "reason" at all. Shit happens and all that.

It's akin to saying, "when god closes a door, he opens a window."

"From asshole to breakfast time" to describe a great mess.

Theism is to believe what other people claim, Atheism is to ask "why should I".

That's the point. It is what it is, so we need to do X instead of worrying about it.

It's not supposed to sound profound. Just a statement of fact.
