Proud to be a Washingtonian
I saw this on the way home tonight. Made me quite proud to see this sign on the side of a bus:

"1 in 4 is an atheist."

Sponsored by the website http://www.1in4wa.org

From the website:

Quote: One in four people in Washington state are
without religion (and 1 in 4 Seattleites are atheists). Many of your
friends, your family, and your coworkers are atheists. We help build
your bridges, deliver your mail, and heal you when you're sick. Whether
you realize it or not, you know plenty of atheists. We'd like to be open
about who we are. An atheist is someone who doesn't believe in a god.
So open up, come out, and get to know us.
I found it pretty cool!

RE: Proud to be a Washingtonian
Only 25% of Maine, New Hamshire, Vermont are "religulous".
You guys need to get busy out there.

When I look at the pics of the 4 people I can't help but think, there sit/stand three delusional idiots and one rational person.
I fear that I'm becoming an atheist bigot. God help me. I'm becoming one of them.

The old gods are dead, let's invent some new ones before something really bad happens.

That is awesome! I like that ad, it's not in anyones face about their own personal beliefs, it's just simply requesting acceptance, which is the whole point.

Interesting that they're basically using the same tactic that the LGBT Community used and what the Mormons are doing currently to make Mitt Romney look "normal" through their "I am a Mormon" campaign.

Also of personal interest, I recognized a couple of face in the video from the Richard Dawkins event I went to a few weeks back. Smile
