Putting a band together..
Under the effects of chemo drugs is an adventure.

I put it out there last Thursday I was looking to play. So far I have had considerable interest. But it is is hard on Chemo med's. So far I have sent the wrong message to
two people. Big Grin

Tomorrow I have a meeting with a jazz quartet. Wish me luck. Big Grin

Putting a band together, even in the best of circumstances, can be a real headache. I hope it pans out and brings you some joy. To me, there's not much that beats the rush of playing to a room full of people. Break a leg!

Not easy. Many specific rhythms for cowbell.

I met the jazz quartet. First question: "Can you travel? We want to go to Paris asap."

I'm not allowed to leave the country until Feb' next year!

Not to worry.

I have a jam set up with a guy who has a couple of smooth jazz albums out. However he wants to liven it up, make it more funky. This takes place on Sunday.

Thus far the musicians attending are.
Trombone.
Guitar.
Guitar.
Keys.
Bass.
Drums.

EDIT.
Saxophone.
Flute.
Vocal.

It's becoming an orchestra! Big Grin

Normally I would chart out tunes before a session such as this. However I will take a manuscript book and write it on the fly.

Thanks for the responses. Smile

The bass player records everything. When he remembers to hit the On button. Smile

Maybe I won't show the first jam as it could be a train wreck. Getting two guitarists in a room together can do that itself.

I plan to play sparse and just listen. We shall see how it goes. I spoke to the guys. Nobody is planning to bring material. We will first check the chemistry by jamming.
