Lol!
I'm a theist that believes that science doesn't disprove God, only shows how great God is. He's not in a trinity, (he's not even a boy) he's the transcending God of the Multiverse, both entirely made up and seperate from us.

You sound more Deist than Theist. Do you believe in a personal god? If so, which one?

Deists are theists.

RE: Q&A with The_Thinking_Theist
So, your ineffable experience (whatever it may be as you cannot communicate what it is) shows you that you have found god and all religions are wrong and atheists are wrong too. But your indescribable experience has shown you without a doubt that you know the truth.

Why? What would give you the power to see the truth when no one else can?

You say God is the creator and sustainer of the universe.

Why do you believe in God?
Why not simply believe that the universe created itself, and that it sustains itself?

Ineffable religious experience. I can see evidence of God everywhere I look now that I have a truly open mind about it. Also, all you God of the Gaps people, you completely missed my point.

Yes, I also have had such a religious experience. Then I had another super mind-blowing religious experience, a revelation of the utmost intensity.
This revelation showed me that the Universe is awesome, but that there is no God.
It is kind of difficult to explain this experience....it is ineffable.
You have to be truly open to it to go to a higher level of consciousness than
you are now. I wonder... are there other atheists on this forum who had a
similar religious experience?

No.
This one didn't know the difference between deism and theism, didn't know what god of the gaps was, can't spell very well, and generally ignores questions he can't answer, and generally is pretty ill-informed about what he's trying to push. I think not. Actually Ed was much smarter, had his ideas much more developed and worked out, and much more informed.

I thought Deism was a god that didn't interact with the universe, while Theists believed a god DID interact in some way?
