Except that's not whats happening is it. Tell me how many tournaments do you win if your escorted from the tournament for being a disruptive bag of cocks?

Zero.

Haha, no. Omg no. Tom Ford is a brand you buy if you like paying for a name and the ability to call your clothing "luxury" clothing at the expense of quality per dollar. Which is extremely common in the fashion industry. It's the same story for suits by Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, and Gucci (which is exactly where Tom Ford learned it from being a former designer for them). They are all super popular but so was Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey. People are stupid. About the only well known name that's really worth it is Armani, and still you can still get better quality per dollar.

You're much better off taking the same amount of money and buying a Dolce & Gabbana, Ermenegildo Zegna, or ideally go to London and get yourself an Anderson & Sheppard made up on Savile Row custom like. If you spent the exact same amount of money you will walk away with a better suit from those three every time over some overpriced nonsense from Tom Ford.

They are good, I've owned a couple, but I have never been super keen on them but that's personal tastes. That applies for custom tailored suits only though their "made-to-measure" is crap even by "made-to-measure" standards.

The issues are not stylistic or a question of what is or is not fashionable at the time or how long it will stay so. The issue is, for Tom Ford anyway, the price you are paying for the quality. I have suits I wear once a year because trends change but they also change back on a regular basis (with the exception of American style suits, the 20s are over move on fashion world) so I'm not at all worried about spending money on things that go out of style. Tom Ford is just a terrible investment, popularized by people with little knowledge in suit construction, materials, quality, or even wearing them properly that put in all the effort of a 10 second Google search for "over priced suits".

The Tom Ford brand is also just classless and vulgar. Here is an example. Why the hell is there a 6 and a half inch banner of a topless women(who seems to have misplaced her nipple) on mens shirts? (which all look like the wardrobe for The book Of Mormon by the way, Jesus how about some colour guys) What does a chick grabbing her tit have to do with pocket squares? Y'all know me I love the female form but I'm on the internet motherfucker if I wanted to look at tits I'd bloody well be doing that not looking at your shitty ties!

Which reminds me.

RE: Q! Where are you?
Holy shit! $600 for a white button up?!? Can't you just take as slightly less expensive shirt and have it tailored? I understand the quality of the suit itself is worth the money, but come on, "that's what I call getting swindled by a business."

And agreed - the naked woman was completely unnecessary.

RE: Q! Where are you?
Yup exactly, you are paying for a name and ironically it's a name most people outside of the US don't pay any attention to at all. You know that friend, we all have one, who tries to do what you are really good at and he's just..not but you don't want to hurt his feelings or discourage him/her? Ya... that's Tom Ford to the rest of the Suit making world.

I've spent ungodly amounts of money on a shirt before, even more then $600, but the quality is just....yum. Talking Egyptian cotton in a 2-ply 200s fabric, with a touch of silk at a momme of 9mm making a shirt that is so soft, luxurious, and so enjoyable to wear you will want to leave it on during sex. Tom Ford is nowhere near that at all. At all. That white shirt is about $180 dollars over priced, almost entirely because it's got his name on it and it has "Made in Italy" stamped on it to fool the rubes.

Not only was it unnecessary but seriously a nearly 7 inch banner of it? Tom Ford you are the Dane Cook of suit making.

I'm unsure how I upset you so, but am willing to make amends. How do you feel about forgiving people who've wronged you, in general?
