As a kid I remember finding them interesting to play with...LOL.

Heart

Just for clarity sake, they are not insects. They are still crustaceans.

Dodgy Fine, Pill Bugs are crustaceans.

It may be the truth that I am not intelligent enough or informed enough to see why it is not intelligently designed.
But may be you can explain why it is not. Of course if you are capable to do this.

Also, take this unintelligent design into account.

Cetaceans have the same average number of genes for scent receptors, that is to say the ability to smell scents, as the average mammal does. But not one of their genes for scent receptors is active. In other words, they have the genes to smell, more or less, just as well as an average antelope, pig, or bison, but cannot smell a thing.

Why would "God" "intelligently" place genes in their DNA for an ability he didn't give them?

It’s like giving humans the genes for building a complete, functioning tail, and then just turning it off.

It makes no sense from a "special creation of 'God'" perspective. But makes complete sense evolutionarily, as at one point their ancestral land-dwelling species needed, and used those scent receptor genes, as they were on land, in the open air.

But as they evolved into fully aquatic species, these scent receptor genes were useless, and lost their functionality, yet remain present in their genome as a fingerprint of their evolutionarly past, much the same as their lungs, rather than gills, show not an "intellegent designer", but evolution at work.

Just an aside but....Doesn't a lungfish have both?

I believe they have a diminished ability to extract oxygen through their gills to greater and lesser degrees depending on the species.

But yes, they do have both.

So, why isn't it intelligent enough? do you know?
Now, shoo karakatitsa.

Wow you're really thick aren't you? What purpose do whales having lungs serve? If you're going to defend intelligent design, then please do so. If you can't then just admit it and just shoo fly.
I don't know. That is why I do not say that this design is not intelligent or that it is intelligent.
When I have the answer I can tell if it is intelligent or not.
shoo caracatitsa.

I don't know.

Less intelligent than giving them spiracles so that they can breath air, allowing them to move about more freely without dying because a rock is overturned and their patch of soil is dried out within half an hour.
I am happy that they can not move more freely. So intelligently designed.

You really need to read a book on evolution. Try Why Evolution is True by Jerry Coyne, Ph.D.

looks like caracatitsa knows everything. At least I am honest that I don't know everything.

Did you even comprehend what Raptor wrote?

My best guess is no, you didn't.
