Quantum Fields in Curved Space-Time
For those who are not math inclined, I have placed a good number of the calculations in appendices so that you can concentrate on the main trust which is: in regard to QFTCST, the surprising and unexpected result is that the notion of a vacuum-state and a particle-state, which in flat spacetime turned out to be easy and convenient to make certain calculations, are ambiguous in curved spacetime due to the fact that a time-dependent Hamiltonian will create particles. Rest assured there is still a number of ways of putting this knowledge to use (hint: inflationary Big Bang Theory).
