Research has indicated that it's possible she may have a life outside the forum Tongue

It's true, I've heard this can happen sometimes.

Considering her last post was 4:31pm yesterday and her last visit on her profile is the exact same time, this seems...likely. Tongue

Need to think of a witty signature.

I'm comfortable dismissing her as a pussy.

I don't know that she has to be completely devastated but on the other hand, just coming in a place like this and setting up shop reflects, if not the arrogance of the believer, at least the arrogance of the belief system.

So true! She may well just be here to share her "answers," but jumping in feet first into a group of people you clearly know nothing about shows a certain level of arrogance that isn't very flattering.

I used to despise "new atheism" for its reactionary tone but after a couple decades of trying to talk sense to theists, I now understand that some people's patience is at an end, and that's both okay and understandable.

One thing I've noticed is that very often, the default assumption is that all theists must want to convert potential followers. I've found myself explaining over and over that my religious beliefs do not call for anyone's conversion, and that we in fact take strides to discourage conversion. But when people who don't yet know me learn that I'm a theist, very often their knee-jerk reaction is to put up their defenses against the proselytization efforts they're sure I'm going to launch against them.

Theists who come here, whether there here to sell their religions or not, must appreciate that this is the perception and they must deal with the reality of the situation if they're to have productive conversations.

Unfortunately, its called "the great commission" in christian churches.... Perhaps you don't doctrinally adhere to that but so many do, it's hard to remember there are a few who aren't out to convert or kill all infidels (hmm? oh non believers).

lol to me Muslim extremism and christian extremism aren't very different at all.

I do have a lot in common with you guys. I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I got here, but I've really enjoyed everyone's company. I wasn't raised religious, so I can socialize well in mainstream society.
