Questions about Evolution
If evolution is real, and people evolve based on their circumstances... Then why don't Eskimos have fur and why don't people in hot areas have silver reflective skin that keeps them safe from the sun?

Welcome to TTA.

Good question.

Likewise, why haven't Murikans evolved to be able to shoot bullets out of their ...

It's a mystery, isn't it?

Eskimos have fur, they take it from other animals.

People in hot areas get along fine without silver skin. Why do you think it's needed?

Evolution is real.

They shave.

The dark pigmentation common to people from hotter climates seems to work well enough.

That's actually only one question with two examples (title says "questions")

If evolution is real? Which is more likely, you misunderstand what evolution is or it isn't real?

"...and people evolve based on their circumstances..."

Individuals of a species adapt based on individual circumstances. Species evolve through differing selection pressures that result in different adaptations. That doesn't mean that only one outcome is predetermined. There is no direction to evolutionary adaptations.

"Then why don't Eskimos have fur and why don't people in hot areas have silver reflective skin that keeps them safe from the sun?"

Humans still have fur, we don't have as much as some species. And fur isn't the only adaptation to cold weather. Seals, penguins, whales, clams, etc, that live in the cold regions of Earth have a myriad of ways that they have adapted to the cold to survive. Some have fat, some have feathers, some have fur, some are exothermic and have low metabolic rates during the coldest months, etc.

You presume to know what the best adaptation is for the cold, but evolution doesn't select for the "best" it selects for what is available. The ancestor of the eskimos had already lost much of its fur and as a consequence, they adapted to the cold without needing their own fur. There is no selection pressure for fur.

As for why humans in hot areas don't have reflective skin, this (like the previous example) presumes that humans living in hot environments aren't well adapted to living there. They are.

But why not reflective skin? I only know of a few animals that have reflective skin and most of them live in the ocean and its function appears to mostly be about deflecting light to avoid predation.

Humans with reflective skin would have a difficult time making vitamin D considering they need to be able to absorb at least some sun to produce it. They would be highly visible to predators. Texture to skin would reduce reflectance, so more reflective skin would be slippery and make it difficult to grip anything.

The flipside of that question is:

If creation is real why do you suppose God put the Sun close enough to the Earth to give Adam & Eve and all their descendants cancer?

And with 70% of the planet covered in water here’s something else to think about....”Ocean: A body of water occupying about two-thirds of a world made for man - who has no gills.”~ Ambrose Bierce
