RE: Questions for the Gorsuch hearings
You have to love this,
Unanimous Supreme Court overturns a Gorsuch decision ... in the middle of his confirmation hearing
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2017/3/22/...on-hearing
http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/201...inion.html

“Neil Gorsuch’s belief in reading the law as narrowly as needed to screw ordinary people reared its head again during his Supreme Court confirmation hearing Wednesday, but not because of anything Gorsuch himself said on Wednesday. No, the issue was something the entire United States Supreme Court said—that Gorsuch was wrong in a 2008 opinion dealing with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.”

The very Supreme Court judges he might be sitting next to overturned a decision. How embarrassing is that?

How does his ruling in the Frozen Trucker case, meet the "reasonable person" standard ? Does EVERY employee of every company, in mortal peril, BE REQUIRED to jeopardize their LIFE to safeguard the company property ? Facepalm

USA is seriously confused.

If a corporation wants to look attractive to employees then they can choose to offer these sweeteners if they want.

But, if govt deem unwanted pregnancy as a hindrance to the poor then govt ought to subsidies contraception and other family planing services and products.

I don't understand the USA think where corporations do public services such as health or provide minimum wage or cover living costs etc.

Govt ought to provide the safety nets, prop up insufficient incomes, cover medical necessities, not corporations, the purpose of corporations is to make profit, not to manage a society.

All irrelevant. Corporations in the US provide health insurance. As long as they do that, (including providing coverage for MEN'S reproductive affairs, in effect PROMOTING reproduction "artificially" ... Viagra is THE MOST prescribed medication in the US), then women should have coverage for their reproductive meds, (and the fact is, estrogen is prescribed many times, not just for contraception). Part of competing for the best workers, is providing health insurance.

Last year my primary physician prescribed estrogen to treat uncomfortable sex. (I am in my 50s.) And prescribed Viagra to hubby for occasional, shall we say, obvious reasons. (He is in his 60s.) Obviously we are not seeking to reproduce. He has in fact had a vasectomy many years ago. Insurance covered the Viagra with a $4 copay, no problem, no questions asked. This same insurance wanted my doctor to jump through hoops to prove I had a NEED for the estrogen. Several letters and calls (and months) later, the insurance company finally sent word that they refused to cover my estrogen. RE.FUSED. Cost out of pocket? Over $1,000. Per month. Needless to say that prescription never got filled. Message to man? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, have fun dude. Message to woman? Fuck you, you don't need it. Or at least you don't need it to feel good. And now you're going to get it more frequently and for longer. So there you go. Message received. FUCK YOU BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD.

And by the way, I feel certain that if for some reason men were to need estrogen in order to get a hard on, this crap would change. In fact, Trump would probably be one of the first ones on THAT band wagon.

Given how Neil Gorsuch was supposed to be Merrick Garland... I can only snicker and Trump's anger.

That being said, I think he's going to look a lot like Scalia most of the time, so I don't think I'll be snickering very often any time I read an article about a Supreme Court ruling.
