Have you ever tried tallying up how much you spent on them? I wonder what the total is?

At current prices, I was smoking about $200 worth per month. Scared to do the math beyond that. (actually I've done the math often. Keeps me motivated lol)

The $$$ money is what initiated my sister-in-law to quit. She has a boyfriend who is very frugal and appears to be helping her develop some good habits, including breaking old ones.

Now, if only she had not let her father talk her out of signing up for health insurance when she started her new job...

Awesome, good for you! Get through it one moment at a time. Just keep saying no, moment to moment. Soon those moments will be further and further from one another. Keep focused!

Are you quitting 'cold turkey'?

Not a single puff in 36 days.

You have just begun reading the sentence you have just finished reading.

Today is five weeks since I quit. This has always been one of the hardest benchmarks for me to reach (this ain't my first dance with the quit demon). Cravings are brutal right now. In fact, I think the cravings are part of the reason for my insomnia the last few days.

Dammit this sucks!

Kudos to you, sir. I've been smoking for about 32 years and it's the hardest thing I've ever in my life tied to quit. I've managed to stop a few times over the years but it never has lasted.

Best of luck to you!
