RE: Quit Smoking
So, I don't know if Stark kept his part of the deal, but it's been a month now since my last cigarette and I'm doing just fine. I passed the Parents House test (they smoke, which means free cigarettes for me if I wanted) and three Beer with friends on a weekend Tests (the hardest so far...

Now I'm facing the Finals Season Test... But I think I'm going to do just fine Big Grin

Sigh it's hard. I had cut way down but...ya its time.

Like something is brewing and about to begin
Can't put my finger on what lies in store
but I feel what's to happen has happened before...

Well when I gave it up I went cold turkey, had a few packs of wrigley's gum and just dealt with it but thats me and it sucked hardcore. Been a couple years now and I still get the odd craving but it's more for the act than the actual chemicals.

RE: Quit Smoking
Electronics helped me...I did that so I could still go out and hang with the smokers and so that I had something to puff on at the bar, etc....eventually they got gummed up from being in my pockets and I just quit..been almost 3 years.

Yea I'm a giant bitch right now. I'm thinking of trying Nicolette. I use it when I fly.

Quit Smoking
I'm at 72 days! After the first week of homicidal tendencies I was able to think like a human again. It was hard, but I tried to look at it as a roller coaster. When it got hard and a craving set in I smiled and said "yup, you too will fall to my willpower!" I used an app to track my health improvement milestones, it made all the difference.

How long into it did it really bug you? How long was the withdrawal? Did you do something else instead? My dad chewed toothpicks...he probably passed away having eaten a whole trees worth of toothpicks over decades.

See here they are, the bruises, some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF
