Are they books anymore if you are using a Nook, Kindle or iPad? Will we be correcting ourselves in the future and say, "Have you read any good stories lately?"

Only if ebooks become more popular than paper books. It seems like the majority of people still prefer paper books.

I agree with this, though it is only a matter of time before almost all print is obsolete, and I say this as a magazine publisher. We are about to publish our first digital magazine this month because we see the writing on the wall. There may be more print readers of books right now, but Barnes and Noble will be gone in a decade or so. How many people still use CDs or cassettes? While we still have stragglers like DLJ, almost no one listens to music unless it's digitally or through satellite.

Going away for a year, six months or a summer and you're a voracious reader? What's easier, packing 10 books or one slim Kindle? Plus, saving those trees will take precedence, despite Drumpf, someday.

If they're smart, they'll change their business. However, I used to work for BN and I don't see them hanging on like that. They're definitely going to be hit hard or, like you said, die off.

I was still working for them around when iUniverse started. They didn't announce it at first and even asked us if we'd be willing to publish books with them.

Hi,

Am I 69 or 70?

I was born 3/6/1948. This means I have completed 69 yrs and am now in my 70th year. Does this make me 70?

It's societally-dependent.

If you were raised in a Vietnamese culture, you'd be 70.

Happy Birthday!

Also, that's my ex's birthday (but doesn't mean that I hate you too).

Many years ago I brought my Golden Retriever to my dad for vaccinations. Dad was filling out the rabies paperwork and asked how old Josh was. I said that he was going to be three in a couple of months. Dad's response was, "He's two until he's three."

So there you have it. Cool
