I was ready to post in why this was a good day thread that I'd gone a full 24 hours.

Then I began sneezing....25x in a row....obviously to make up for not sneezing all day.

Make that 26. Dodgy

Holy crap! I can't imagine that. Gasp

It's a histamine reaction to shit blowing in the wind. I took benedryl. This year has been miserable for me so far. Undecided

I had bad seasonal allergies when I was in my teens, sometimes my head felt like it was going to pop.
Hope you feel better soon. Hug

The benedryl already started working its magic. Smile sneezing has calmed and I'm getting sleepy. Smile

RE: Ranting corner
I really hate people sometimes.

I will never understand why some people are such assholes. No need to be intentionally cruel. I really hate personalities where I'm supposed to "prove myself" - if you push me to the point of putting you in your place and calling you out for being a dick, you've completely lost my respect at that point and will not be getting it back.

Wtf am I doing with my life? I hate this job, not too crazy about the majority of my coworkers, the midlevels are bitches with a superiority complex. There is no place for an ego in a job like this. No, I don't know everything - but you sure as hell don't either even if you think you're hot stuff.

About to say fuck the recommendation and get my old job back. At least I'd be closer to my son.

RE: Ranting corner
So I'm coming home from work and I get to my street and near my house there's flashing lights and shit and the roads closed off. I explain to the dude that I live just over there and so he escorts me. I'm confused as fuck till I get around the trucks. Some bloody idiot has fucking crashed, on a straight, and a power pole instead of looking like a "I" now looks like a ">". Power lines down and shit. Ahh well, at least my power is still on.

RE: Ranting corner
FFS....my husband's exhaust pipe fell off his truck on Saturday. We left it at a shop to be fixed, it was supposed to be done today. All I had to do was pick up my husband from work, and go get his truck. I go to leave work.... My car won't start. I think the battery might be dead. But heck I just replaced it, and it's making a funny noise when I try to start it. Luckily my brother in law works right across the street from me, and is a gear head.

He comes over, tries to jump it... No go. The starter has shit out on me. FUCK! Ok... $90 to tow it home... $300 for a new starter, my husband and brother in law can fix it no problem. They've replaced several starters over the years. Well of course since my car is newer, it's a huge labor intensive pain in the ass. They can't get it done tonight. Oh, and the shop didn't finish my husband's truck today.

We have no car. Luckily again my father in law isn't working tomorrow, so we are going to borrow his car tonight, car pool to work tomorrow, pick up his truck, take back my father in laws car, and then my husband and I will car pool for the rest of the week until they have time to do my starter this weekend.

Why is it always everything all at once?? Angry

I hope that the world turns, and things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you. - V for Vendetta

Have the roads been especially snowy or slushy where you live lately? Could just be a stuck starter due to moisture.
Has anyone tried rapping on the starter while you try to start it.
This, more often than not, is what happens to starters in the winter.

Now I have to wait till it cools down and resets to see if what I was able to remove was the problem.

You would think my mechanic 'I can fix anything' husband would have done this a week ago when the problem first happened. Dodgy

My husband is like that. Everything goes on his 5 year plan.

I hope the vacuum is fixed.

I looked up the address of an authorized repair place but didn't take the vacuum with me today due to the rain. Planned to load it in my car in the morning and drop it off after work. I had the address, receipt, and owner's manual on the counter so I wouldn't forget.

Came home to a note with a sewing needle laying on it...

MJ's Vacuum Repair

Remove hose, pull needle out with pliers, jamming fur from 3 fierce dogs. Poked finger, shed tear.

Labor $100.00
Medical $25.00
Total $125.00 due.

Facepalm

Everyone's a smartass around this place. Dodgy

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

RE: Ranting corner
Waiting for a video game to arrive at my flatmates work.
Had to get one shipped in for me because there seems to only be 5 in the entire fucking country or some shit.
Didn't come today, hopefully it comes tomorrow.
