RE: Ranting corner
Ugh. Brain. Stop over analyzing. A week to plot and question whether I should or not. Normally I just go with the flow, but going with the flow gets me into trouble making regrettable decisions. What to do what to do... Probably a bad idea... Weeping

No water issues other than our sewerline backing up every six months or so because the line was cracked.

So for like two years we have pinched pennies, forgone vacations to save up thousands and thousands of dollars more to replace the sewer line. The two or three day job has extended to a week and counting. They didn't fill in our driveway properly, so a big portion of it eroded right next to our house creating a big sink hole. And guess what?? It's been pouring rain for the last two days, and our basement is flooding again because it's just pouring in at that one spot too fast for the water to drain to the sump pump.

Add to that my husband's truck is in the shop for a week and counting. The problem that they fixed created another problem with the truck, so that's going to cost double.

Add to that I have to try and get the vet to come back to the house for another blood test and a vaccine booster. There's another big chunk of cash, plus they were supposed to give me calming treats and sprays to hopefully make the next visit less traumatizing, but they won't have them until late this week. His booster is due by Friday Dodgy

Then 20 more shitty things about life on top of all else.

Fuck this year. End rant.

I liked it not because I liked what I read, but to commiserate. Hope things get better for you, ma'am.

Dateline: FT's face;
The homefront is in a stunned shock, as not 10 minutes ago, the cavernous motherland was invaded! After a brief and painful needlepoint-like insertion of special units, paralyzing the mouth's ability to retaliate, a larger team of extraction specialist invaded and tore one of the People from their home.
It is unknown how home Mouth forces will respond.

Update, the numbness has mostly worn off and it dun hurt. I'm tying to keep pressure applied via gauze, but ouch...

Doesn't help that each time I try to adjust or replace the gauze, my body reacts with an attempt to vomit...

The dentist was rather short with me, but he was pretty good. The extraction itself didn't hurt at all.

... Didn't stop my body from shaking like mad after...

Side-note: All I can taste is blood and saline!

You body has been through a lot...all that pain and infection then having a tooth pulled. It deserves to try to shake it off.

You will probably feel so much better in a couple days that you will wish you had it done sooner. Just be sure you follow all the dentist's instructions so that it heals quickly and well.

RE: Ranting corner
Sad sorry it hurts.

Just in case they didn't mention it, take your pain meds around the clock the next two days. So if it's every four hours as needed, make sure you take it every four hours - don't wait til you're hurting badly - it's much more difficult to get the pain under control that way. Up to you if you wanna set an alarm and take it in the middle of the night or sleep through it - but gotta say, waking up after 8 hours with no meds is the worst.

Reminds me of when I had all four wisdom teeth extracted. I was a chipmunk for a month. Hobo
