Why are you even using cheques? Wouldn't it be easier to do an automatic bank transfer?

I don't really like going outside.
It's too damn "peopley" out there....

When/if we have enough money on time, that's what is done.

Unfortunately the company is in a pretty rough financial state.

Funny that when I was in charge, people got paid on time. They hired a boss for me and the whole summer has been a game of 'are we getting paid on time/or at all'...and they supposedly took me off payroll completely long before the current mess.

Seems like their plan is working just swimmingly. Dodgy

I'm curious though, why are the cheques the better option when there isn't enough money on time?

To do an electronic transfer we have to wire the money to the payroll company at least a day in advance of the direct deposits being made. If we don't have the money on time, we can't make that wire.

But if you can write cheques, it means that the money is there, right?
